Our Years HighlightsDecember 20 2017
With the end of 2017 fast approaching us we thought it would be nice to remember some of our favourite events and jobs we have had the pleasure to experience this year between us and our sister company Alpha People. After some debate and a few tense moments over some mulled wine and mince pies here are our top 3 events of the year:
- Joe and Pooja’s wedding at Newhouse estate. This beautiful venue quite simply took Kate and Sally’s breath away as they pulled up to work the bar at the wedding. The happy couple, guests (and us!) were lucky enough to enjoy some sunshine for the reception drinks before moving inside to the marquee where Joe and Pooja’s fantastic taste and personal touches made this a great space to be working in. With some of the friendliest guests and family we’ve had the pleasure to work for we couldn’t stop laughing all evening even when we were running pizza’s in from the torrential rain! Newhouse estate is run by the most amazing gentleman George and his superb assistant Sandra both checking in with us throughout the evening, their care and obvious love of this beautiful house is evident and it was an honour to experience such a wedding in a setting such as this. We recently revisited George and Sandra to drop by some mince pies and catch up in this delightful house.
- The wine society is an annual event for us to find staff for each year. It is always a pleasure to work alongside a company that has such passion for the products it markets and this year was certainly an education in fine wines us and the staff that worked the event won’t forget.
- Salisbury Races. This was one of our most popular events for staff to work running from the summer months into Autumn. With a range of bars to work although unbelievably busy during days such as Ladies Day, there was always a fun atmosphere and great team work between our staff and the permanent team. Not only were we able to provide staff to the racecourse we had our annual team day out at the final race meet of the year. Some were luckier than others (Kate and Kayleigh were the clear winners of the day) but we all enjoyed a lovely meal and soaked up the atmosphere.
